English Grammar and Exercise 4
The four-book course of graded grammar exercises aims to develop the pupils understanding of the English grammatical system at work. Book 1 (in the series) is planned for pupil in their third year of learning English as a second language, and the series takes them up to middle level. Grammatical terminology is used sparingly and exercises have been so framed that the average pupil can do them largely independently of the teacher. There are many examples. The aim of the exercises is to produce English that is not only grammatically correct but which also looks and sound natural.
